O Si Yo!!! (Cherokee for hello)
So where to begin! I was so excited and fortunate to take this trip! I got to go Oklahoma for my nursing Practice course at FAU's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing RN to BSN program. I, with about a total of 35 other RN to BSN students, had the experience of a lifetime. While there we worked with many age groups and all kind of backgrounds. We primarily worked with the local Cherokee tribe. It was a beautiful and spiritual experience. This experience helped open my eyes, which resulted in a more holistic perception of life. While being immersed in the history there I also gained a better understanding of the history Native Americans. I encourage everyone to become educated about there history for what I have been taught was not even close to a quarter of what these amazing people had to go through and are still having to go through.
These photos were taken at Natural Falls park and Tenkiller Lake. These were the most intriguing to me! Enjoy!
Wado! (Cherokee for thank you)
